Our Purpose
The purpose of Jones Trio is found in Psalm 149:1, "Praise ye the LORD. Sing unto the LORD, and his praise in the congregation of saints". God has given us the gift of song, but it is our responsibility and calling to honor our tradition while redefining if for the community that we serve.
Our Vision
Our vision is to promote the healing that comes from music, whether sacred or secular, while celebrating the diversity of styles that make up the tapestry of the tradition of our music.

Our Philosophy
Our music draws on the diversity of our individual and collective background. Though each member of our group is grounded in the charismatic music of the Black church, they are also trained and accomplished in the worlds of concert spirituals, chorale singing, theater, jazz, rhythm and blues, and more. We have sung for affluent audiences and for the homeless. Our music has encouraged those in recovery for drugs and abandonment, but we have also sung for and with celebrities. No matter the venue or occasion, we sing for the healing of our community and to the glory of God.
